SHARE HOLDING PATTERN The shares are held by Govt of Andhra Pradesh(38.99%),National Seeds Corporation Ltd.(32.64%)and Seed Growers(28.37%). As of date the corporation has 5,982 shareholders.. The Corporation was set up with active joint participation of Government of Andhra Pradesh, Government of India and Shareholder growers of the State. Government of India through National Seeds Corporation Limited extended Equity Support (World Bank through Government of India under the National Seed Project III released Grants-in-aid).
The Board consists of 11 Directors who manages the overall affairs of the Corporation. All the Directors of the Board are appointed once in three years according to the Principle of Proportional representation. The Number of Directors appointed by each class of Shareholders shall be in proportion to the Paid up Capital held by that class and at present four Directors are appointed by Government of A.P and another four Directors are appointed by National Seeds Corporation Ltd., and three Directors are elected representing Grower Shareholders. The Special Chief Secretary to Government, Agriculture & Co-operation Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh is the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. The Vice Chairperson & Managing Director looks after the day-to-day Administration of the Corporation. There are 311 employees in the Corporation out of which 268 are regular Employees and 43 are Contract employees. PROFIT SHARING The Corporation has been paying dividend to its Shareholders on the Equity Capital. The Dividend paid from 2004-05 to 2008-09 is given below..
